SeismoSpect v2018 is one of SeismoSoft’s software suites. The software allows users to create a home book of earthquake motion data and records that you can store and share in a separate file. The program is also able to use several types of filters, perform basic corrections, calculate the average spectral response of a set of accelerometers, and compare results with the target spectrum. It is also possible to calculate a number of robust motion parameters.
SeismoSpect allows users to create their own library of ground motion records and save them all in a single file making it easy to handle and share large numbers of records. This application is then capable of applying several filter types, performing baseline-correction, computing the mean spectral response of a collection of accelerograms and comparing these results with a target spectrum. A number of strong-motion parameters can also be calculated.
In addition, SeismoSpect features a user-friendly graphical user interface capable of reading single accelerograms defined in either single or multiple values per line format (the two most popular formats used by strong-motion databases).
Finally, and due to its full integration with the Windows environment, SeismoSpect allows for numerical and graphical results to be copied to any Windows application (eg MS Excel, MS Word, etc.), noting that the plots characteristics can be fully customized from within the program itself.
